MENA Water World Café 2015
Aug 25, 2015
In the framework of World Water Week, you are invited to join us for a World Café Conversation to explore and discuss how MENA countries can contribute to meeting new water-related SDGs; how to foster dialogue and build trust among decision makers; how to cope with water scarcity; and how to encourage local communities to work together.
The MENA Water World Café will address three topics in three rotating working groups:
- Water and Governance: How can MENA countries contribute to meeting new water-related SDGs? What are their needs for capacity building? How can dialogue be fostered and trust built between decision makers?
- Water and Climate Change: How is it possible to cope with water scarcity? What are the characteristics of the water-food-energy nexus in MENA? How can capacities be built to help combat water shortages?
- Water and Security: How can local communities be encouraged to work together? How can local environmental governance be promoted? How can the role of local communities in improving water security be enhanced?
For any information regarding the event, please contact Ms. Imola Koszta at wmt@rec.org
The event will take place between 14:00 and 15:30 on August 25, 2015, at the City Conference Centre in Stockholm. Further information can be found on the Water World Café page of the World Water Week website.
